True or False: Nearly half of all private sector workers don't have a single paid sick day. A: True. Believe it or not, the U.S. doesn't have any laws that require the private sector to provide paid sick days. The result--too many Americans are forced to go to work sick, to choose between taking care of a sick child or losing a day's pay, or even end up losing their jobs when illness strikes.
